Having an agent email you non stop to like them on FaceBook or hook up with them on Linkedin after providing such an awful experience makes me wonder about their integrity or lack of.
It is sad that we had to hire an attorney to represent our interest. When an agent calls and emails you after your property is listed only a week and tells you to lower the price, an alarm should go off on what to expect going forward. Honesty and Integrity, Professionalism, Tenacity, Listening, and Commitment were not qualities we found in this agent. At least one of the qualities would have been nice. Instead we got arrogance!
a complaint with the Florida Real Estate Commission. Even though we all read reviews, we have the opportunity to meet with someone and make our own decision. But those meet and greets do not always turn out to be what you initially thought once the contract is signed.
I was asked to remove this review, and I will not. However, I will amend it slightly by stating that I was made aware that the delays were due to the home warranty company that the owner has, and their vendors, not by Sterling ReMax. I also received a very helpful phone call from the Broker who was a pleasure to deal with.
Due to an outstanding experience with a REMAX agent in our home town, we opted to have the agent refer us to a REMAX office in Florida for the sale of our vacation home. The experience was such a flawless transaction, it only made sense to stay with REMAX. Unfortunately it was the worse experience we have ever had.
Just awful with communication. Dishonest, please save your time and heartache! Wish I could give them 0 stars.
In addition to the misconduct we experienced, it would have been nice if the agent and broker kept their commitment to the agent that referred us. Instead greed took over. Shame on this agent and the broker for their actions.
Take it for what it's worth, we had just purchased 2 properties in Florida in 2013 with an agent that we located on line. She too provided an outstanding service. All communication was done via phone and emails. When we narrowed our search, the agent scheduled viewing appointments for us that accommodated a weekend trip to Florida.
I wish I could provide a listing of things that took place throughout the sale but I may still file
The RE/MAX Sterling team is a joy to deal with. The service and professionalism of the whole office and my experience with them was outstanding. I would recommend anyone use RE/MAX Sterling when you are in the market to buy or sell your home. A huge thanks to everyone in the office! Jami and Lazaro are AWESOME!!!!!!
Using this agent and broker is like buying a car without a warranty!
Do not rent from this company! Buyer Beware! Rented and left the house immaculate, pictures to prove. This company deducted a carpet allowance from our security deposit which is normal wear and tear. We were told to have the carpet professionally clean and we did. The carpet was left in better condition than we received it in. When we moved in the carpet smelled like dirty funky feet! The paint on the walls was scraped and in bad repair. We noted this on our walk through in the beginning and took pictures, but the company charged us for a paint job. Really?! We are eager to go to court because this company is horrible when renting. Find a private landlord who rents for him or herself and avoid this company at all costs! Oh yeah electric was not wired properly so every time a burner went on the stove the lights went off in the kitchen. We were told we rented the house as is when we complained until I filed a complaint with the state. Terrible, terrible property management resource. Oh and don't be fooled by the sterling review posted by their own employee on here!
Both sales of properties were completed upon our return back home. So being out of state and purchasing properties is not a difficult task. It all depends on the agent and her commitment to the customer. We were sorry to hear this agent was working in a different industry and sorry we did not use the referrals she provided.
While this company may be great for buyers, its not so great for tenants. I have had one problem after another, and while I understand the problems with the house are not specifically their fault, resolving the issues is their responsibility. They made me feel as though I was bothering them with my service requests, rather than sympathizing with the fact that I am having so many problems. This company should be ashamed of themselves for the way I was treated.
